Dinner and AGM 2011

Our AGM was held on 19th November and twenty two members were present. Two additional members (Mike and Janet Crummy) were elected to join the committee bringing the total to seven. The Chairman Brian Bell and Treasurer Derek Lumb were re-elected together with Vi Bell, Gill and Bill Winter.

The AGM followed an excellent dinner in the comfortable surroundings of the Plas Maenan Hotel in the Conwy valley, then a presentation by Jean and Derek Lumb entitled ‘Cruising through the Canals towards the Baltic’ (with dog). It was a successful and much enjoyed evening.

The same venue has been booked for our Spring dinner which will be held on 14th April 2012.

Other events we are organising are:-

- A mini boat jumble and informal lunch to be held on 17th March 2012 at the Royal Welsh YC Caernarfon.

- A cruise to Strangford Lough on the Queen’s Jubilee weekend (1- 5 June). Arrangements with yacht clubs there are well advanced.
