Lunch and mini-jumble, 17 March 2012

Our mini boat jumble and informal lunch was held on 17th March at the Royal Welsh Yacht Club Caernarfon. Twenty people attended and a warm welcome was received from Royal Welsh YC members.

A wide selection of boat jumble was available but buying was very selective – most enjoying the search rather than a purchase!  An excellent and plentiful hot lunch, prepared in the Club’s kitchen, went down well while members shared boat talk and enjoyed a pint or two.

A number of people had not been to the Royal Welsh YC before and found the historic building of great charm and interest, particularly as it is sited within the ancient town walls with frontage onto the Menai Straits.

A memorable event with an invitation to return for a future gathering and to complete a perfect day, Wales won the Grand Slam too!
