3rd Time Lucky BBQ

After two attempts to hold a BBQ this year, both being rained off, the East Coast Group finally had good weather for the BBQ held at Woolverstone Marina on the 20th August. Although the weather kept us guessing, we had a heavy rain shower in the afternoon, the evening turned out fine.

Everyone who had planned to attend made the event including a late entry on Andromeda from Lowestoft. I do hope I haven’t missed anyone off the list. The event went on late into the evening and a great time was had by all.

I went to clean the BBQ the following morning, and with joy found that a BBQ Fairy had been hard at work, thanks to the crew of Andromeda, you can come again.

Woolverstone Marina kindly loaned us a large Gas BBQ all for the cost of a donation to the RNLI. Drinks and nibbles were had before the cooking started and we managed to save £15 out of the attendee’s contribution. This was duly donated to the RNLI.
