The Westerly Owners' Association - FAQ's
Problem: I cannot see the selection buttons
on the Blue Bar at the top of each page
Problem: I cannot enter the Members Only password
Problem: I cannot buy items at the Shop
Answer: You need to ensure that JavaScript
is enabled, and is not blocked by 3rd party security tools - an
example is Norton Internet Security (see bottom of this list).
How to do this in Internet Explorer:
1) From the Tools menu select Internet Options.
2) From the Security tab set the security level to Medium
or Medium High. Note that you must click the "Reset"
button for the changes to take effect. JavaScript will automatically
be enabled.
3) Click Apply and/or OK.
Alternatively, you may add www.westerly-owners.co.uk
as a Trusted Site and set the above security level on the
Trusted Sites Zone independently.
If you wish to have more control over your security settings, select
the Custom security level and click on Settings.
How to do this in Opera:
1) From the Tools menu select Quick preferences and
make sure Enable JavaScript is checked.
How to do this in Firefox:
1) From the Tools menu select Options.
2) From the Content tab make sure Enable JavaScript is checked.
How to do this in Safari:
1) From the Safari menu select Preferences.
2) From the Security tab make sure the Enable JavaScript
checkbox is checked.
After performing this operation, you will need
to click the Refresh button on your browser to force the
page to reload with the, now allowed, settings.
If the above fails, and you are running Norton
Internet Security, the Norton Support site offers a route to
solving the problem:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/sunset-c2002kb.nsf/0/55d4d7d473dd10eb85256ede00518dda?OpenDocument
Other 3rd party suites, such as McAfee, Panda,
Zone Alarm and Verizon (and there are many more available) may also
demonstrate similar content blocking. If you are running any of
these, or a browser not listed above, you will need to look at the
relevant help to see how to do this.
If you do not wish to enable JavaScript,
you can still navigate the site using the Site Map although
some other features may not be available.
